Ronald Delp has over 17 years of security and emergency response experience. Starting his career doing security for Penn State football games and volunteering as a fully trained and certified firefighter in DuBois Pennsylvania, Ronald brings this unique combination of skills to Lone Star Security. Ronald continued his pursuits in the United States Air Force where he became a firefighter within various aviation disciplines, including space shuttle response and airport procedures. As a member of the emergency response team, Ronald was skilled in extinguishment, rescue, communications, and operations. Ronald was also a fully qualified 911 Dispatcher, While stationed overseas, Mr. Delp became a member of the secondary security forces assigned to the overall protection of Air Force facilities.
After fulfilling his four year commitment, Ronald was honorably discharged and took his expertise into the world of private industry holding various security jobs, including event security, personal protection, and working for such large companies as Sears and JC Penney. As a loss prevention manager, Ronald was responsible for the safety and security of personnel and physical properties, such as warehouses, retail stores, and offices. It was during this time that Mr. Delp was trained in interview and interrogation techniques by Wicklander-Zulawski and Associates.
Today, Ronald Delp brings these skills to Lone Star Security as Product Manager of event operations, overseeing the planning and implementation of all of Lone Star’s resources on any given program, concert, or special event. Ronald is also a vital part of the Executive Protection and SRT Team. In addition, Ronald serves as Contract Manager for various locations as well as providing focused consulting in the area of retail loss prevention. He is also a certified instructor specializing in firearms, non-lethal devices and hand-to-hand combat, as well as other training programs developed and utilized by Lone Star Security & Safety Services.
